1. Academic Tutor

Next Level Up, LLC is dedicated to empowering students through personalized academic support, fostering growth in both their studies and confidence. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Academic Tutor to provide focused, one-on-one tutoring for students ranging from kindergarten to high school in Colorado Springs. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to make a meaningful impact on students' academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Instruction:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in core subjects such as mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies, reinforcing classroom learning, increasing schoolwork performance, and improving grade-level achievement through periodic evaluations.

  • Tailor lessons to meet each student’s unique learning style and academic needs, adapting strategies to enhance comprehension and retention, identified through periodic assessments.

  • Guide students toward measurable improvements in understanding and application of academic concepts.

Skill Development:

  • Teach effective study habits and time management techniques to support academic success, fostering organizational skills and consistency in task completion.

  • Encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, and independent learning, helping students become more confident in their abilities.

  • Implement strategies that lead to noticeable gains in student engagement and academic persistence.

  • Perform periodic assessments and provide questionnaires to identify needs, strengths, progress, and regression. 

Progress Monitoring:

  • Track student progress over time, adjusting lesson plans and approaches to ensure continued academic growth.

  • Provide meaningful feedback to students and communicate updates to parents or guardians, ensuring transparency in student development.

  • Maintain clear documentation of progress, demonstrating the impact of tailored instructional methods.

Supportive Environment:

  • Create a positive and engaging learning atmosphere that boosts student motivation and self-confidence.

  • Address academic challenges with patience and support, helping students navigate difficulties effectively.

  • Foster an encouraging space where students feel supported in achieving their learning goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; however, exceptional candidates currently in high school may also be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a college program in Education or a related field preferred.

  • Experience working with children or adolescents, such as tutoring, teaching, or mentoring.

  • Strong knowledge of educational principles and core subject matter.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

  • Availability for 6-10 hours per week, with flexibility for afternoon or evening sessions.

2. Learning & Wellness Facilitator

Next Level Up, LLC is dedicated to empowering students through academic and emotional support, fostering both academic and personal growth. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning & Wellness Facilitator to work one-on-one and in small groups with students ranging from kindergarten to high school in Colorado Springs. This role combines academic tutoring with therapeutic skills, including emotional regulation, coping strategies, stress management, and focus techniques to support students' overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualized Academic & Emotional Support:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in core subjects such as mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies, reinforcing classroom learning, increasing schoolwork performance, and improving grade-level achievement through periodic evaluations.

  • Implement therapeutic techniques to help students manage frustration, reduce anxiety, and regulate emotions during their studies, leading to improved focus and resilience.

  • Incorporate mindfulness and focus strategies to enhance concentration and optimize learning outcomes in a structured and effective manner.

  • Track measurable changes in symptoms through pre-assessments, ongoing progress monitoring, and post-evaluations.

Small Group Facilitation:

  • Conduct engaging and interactive small-group sessions that reinforce academic understanding and encourage social-emotional collaboration.

  • Lead group activities designed to promote emotional growth, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, fostering a supportive learning environment.

  • Adapt group instruction to ensure students demonstrate increased engagement, participation, and collaboration over time.

Subject Mastery & Integration:

  • Teach a range of subjects (math, science, language arts, social studies) aligned with academic goals, evaluated through lesson alignment, student engagement, and academic growth data.

  • Integrate emotional regulation techniques into instruction, assessed by consistent strategy use, student feedback, and observed self-management improvements.

  • Utilize adaptive teaching methods to support academic and emotional growth, measured by differentiated instruction, student progress, and classroom observations.

Progress Assessment & Goal Setting:

  • Evaluate students' academic progress and emotional well-being, identifying areas for growth and adjusting support strategies accordingly.

  • Develop and implement customized lesson plans and emotional support strategies, ensuring alignment with students' evolving needs and measurable learning objectives.

  • Track and document improvements in academic skills, emotional regulation, and overall student confidence.

Homework & Study Skills Support:

  • Guide students through assignments to reinforce learning and build independent study skills, evaluated by student progress and self-sufficiency.

  • Teach study strategies, time management, and emotional regulation, assessed through academic consistency and skill application.

  • Support accountability in academic routines, measured by increased student ownership and task completion.

Parent Communication & Collaboration:

  • Maintain open communication with parents, evaluated through regular updates and responsiveness to concerns.

  • Partner with families to support academic and emotional growth, assessed by consistency in student progress and parent feedback.

  • Provide home-based strategies that align with sessions, measured by student improvement and family engagement.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently pursuing a degree in these fields are also encouraged to apply.

  • Relevant experience working with children and adolescents in academic or therapeutic settings is preferred.

  • Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or related experience with diverse age groups.

  • Strong understanding of educational principles, curriculum standards, and therapeutic techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated patience and empathy.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and emotional needs.

  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including part-time evening and weekend sessions.

3. Mental Health Counselor

Next Level Up, LLC is committed to supporting the mental and emotional well-being of children and adolescents through compassionate, evidence-based care. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselor to provide individual and group counseling to students in Colorado Springs. This role focuses on helping young clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping skills, and build resilience to thrive in their personal and social lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Individual Counseling & Emotional Support:

  • Provide one-on-one counseling to children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, or other mental health concerns.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, and mindfulness practices, evaluated through symptom reduction and client feedback.

  • Assist clients in identifying triggers, developing coping strategies, and improving emotional regulation, with progress tracked through pre-assessments and ongoing evaluations.

  • Support clients in building self-esteem, improving relationships, and managing stress, measured by behavioral changes and self-reported emotional growth.

Group Therapy & Psychoeducation:

  • Facilitate therapeutic small-group sessions focused on emotional awareness, communication skills, peer relationships, and conflict resolution.

  • Lead discussions on mental health topics such as coping with stress, emotional intelligence, and self-advocacy, assessed by group engagement and skill application.

  • Adapt group sessions to meet participants’ evolving emotional and developmental needs, measured by participation consistency and feedback.

Progress Monitoring & Individualized Care Plans:

  • Conduct assessments and goal-setting with each client to develop personalized treatment plans, ensuring measurable emotional and behavioral improvements.

  • Track progress through clinical documentation, behavior observations, and client self-reports, adjusting interventions as needed.

  • Evaluate effectiveness of counseling strategies through pre- and post-session assessments, ensuring positive client outcomes.

Family & Community Collaboration:

  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, providing updates and guidance on supporting their child’s emotional well-being.

  • Offer family-based strategies to reinforce therapy goals at home, assessed through parental feedback and observed improvements.

  • Work with teachers, school counselors, and community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree (interns accepted), or Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s and Doctoral preferred).

  • Licensed or license-eligible in Colorado (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

  • Knowledge of child development and behavioral interventions.

  • Strong ability to build rapport, provide a safe space, and tailor interventions to individual needs.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with families and support systems.

  • Flexible scheduling for part-time evening and weekend sessions.
